Winners of YALS 2017 Literary & Multimedia Competition
Reported by: Mirjana Ljiljak-Vukajlović
This year too, in the month of April, YALS organized its traditional literary and multimedia competition for young students of its member schools at all levels. The general theme for multimedia creations was My Free Time Activities, while the topics for literary works were as follows:
A1 – My Favourite Animal
A2 – I love Summer
B1 – A story ending in “And then I heard a knock at the door…“
B2 – A letter to the teacher – Do you agree that students should wear school uniforms?
C1 – An essay on Online Shopping and the End of the High Street Shop
C2 – A letter to the editor on a problematic situation and how to deal with it
We had such an incredible group of contestants this year and thought that all are worthy of award recognition. YALS Jury, consisting of Coordinator Danijela Veljković, from Penguin School, Jagodina, Dijana Kisić, Big Bird School, Belgrade, and Eva Bako, Blue Moon, Kula, had a difficult task of determining who would receive the prizes from YALS, so in many cases there are multiple winners.
As in the previous competitions, YALS will publicly praise the most successful authors and publish their works on its web site. The winners will also be awarded books and other surprise prizes.
Here are their masterpieces:
