Celebrating 250 Years of America’s Independence
Reported by Sofija Ljiljak-Vukajlović
Yals representatives, Mirjana Grandov Lacić and Sofija Ljiljak-Vukajlović, were honored to join the Independence Day Celebration, held on 2 July 2026, at the American Resource Center (ARC) in Belgrade, marking an important milestone in history of the United States and the enduring value of international cooperation.
As a long-standing partner of the Regional English Language Office (RELO) and the US Embassy in Serbia, Yals is proud to contribute to educational initiatives that connect people, cultures, and opportunities through English language learning. Over the years, our collaboration has enabled hundreds of participants across Serbia to strengthen their language skills, professional competencies, and global perspectives.
Events like this remind us that language education is much more than learning English – it is about building bridges, fostering understanding, and creating lasting partnerships. The invitation to this year’s reception was extended to the participants of the latest Yals project “Refresh Your Business English Course”, supported by the RELO and the US Embassy in Serbia, and delivered in Belgrade, Novi Sad and Niš from January to June this year. It was a true pleasure to meet our trainees once again, hear them communicating in English and even making new business contacts with other distinguished guests at this important event.
