“LearnEnglish for IT“ British Council courses for the second time in Serbia
by Dušan Vukajlović
Together with the British Council, YALS Association has organised LearnEnglish for IT courses in four towns in Serbia – Šabac, Vrbas, Blace and Obrenovac. The courses are being attended by 48 young people from these towns, and the project includes about 20 additional online learners. The classes started on 30 March in Šabac, as shown in the photos, on 6 April in Vrbas, and the courses in Blace and Obrenovac are to start in a few days.
This is the second cycle of 60-lesson courses aimed at adult learners of English and is organised around a series of workplace contexts in which knowledge of IT plays an important role. Learners focus on a range of key IT skills and applications for solving problems as well as grammar, vocabulary and language necessary for communicating confidently and effectively in English.
The first cycle of LearnEnglish for IT courses was successfully implemented in spring 2012.
