YALS at First International ADRIES 2017 Conference

ADRIES 2017 is an annual conference for school owners, managers, teachers and teacher trainers, researchers and innovators and is the first of this kind in the region. This conference was focused on the English language teaching and foreign language schools, the use of modern technologies in school management, business development and teaching methodologies.

YALS representatives, Maja Gavrilović Maksimović, Jelena Spasić, Marija Pejatović and Ljubomir Vasojević actively participated in the first ADRIES 2017 organized in picturesque Split, from 13 to 15 October, 2017.

The Conference theme was ‘Language schools and academic excellence in the digital age’, and there were about 80 participants from various educational institutions from the EU and region.

The aim of the Conference was to foster changes in education in accordance with the dynamic demands of contemporary society with the use of all available sources of knowledge, first of all modern technologies.

The presenters were respectable experts from Cambridge, Oxford, Barcelona, Athens and hosts from Split, Amber IT Solutions and Jantar school.

Apart from the possibility to find out what is the latest in the world of foreign language teaching, this Conference was an excellent opportunity for us to learn from our host’s experience about the Erasmus projects implementation, to get to know potential partners for future projects, but also to remember the beauties of Split and kind and hospitable people living in it.
