14th In-house YALS Seminar at Blue Moon School in Kula

On 3rd June, 2017 Blue Moon School of English celebrated its 20th anniversary and hosted the 14th YALS In-house Seminar. Ten schools with 27 participants took part in this event called Rock-paper-scissors and covered 2 workshops. The presenter was Aleksandra Nađ from Blue Moon School.

The first one explored a precious well of resourceful activities with young learners. It was aimed at teachers working with those children and comprised creative moments in English teaching. Being interactive the workshop provided innovative ways of turning everyday objects and materials into didactic materials to be used in every phase of teaching and learning process. It was also a splendid opportunity to share ideas and experiences in a very positive and cooperative atmosphere.

The second workshop was for all teachers and involved the teacher-student rapport. It considered the character of certain types of teachers, their attitudes towards the teaching process and eventually towards students. The ideas how to strengthen a teacher’s character and how to face challenges in teaching, developed into an interesting discussion and a very fruitful exchange of good practice examples.
