The EPG is a tool for mapping and assessing language teacher competencies internationally. It contains descriptors organised over 6 phases of professional experience as a language teacher (novice to very experienced) and summarises the main competences of language teachers. The EPG covers 4 fields: language and culture, qualifications and experience, core language teaching competences and professional conduct.\u00a0\u00a0 Designed for language teachers as well as their managers and trainers, its main purpose is self-assessment and assessment of language teachers in an institution. This is useful when planning how to deploy teachers and when designing in-service training and professional development. A user-friendly online version of the EPG will also be created and will be available free of charge from September 2013.<\/p>\n<p>In the second half of the meeting members could choose between 3 streams: Business Development, Teacher Management and CEFR Curriculum and Assessment.
