The first cycle of the project \u201cTeaching English to Serbian civil servants working at local government units with the focus on practical skills needed to communicate more fluently with EU counterparts\u201d, implemented by YALS member schools, was successfully completed in 11 Serbian municipalities. The US Embassy in Serbia financially supported the training programme through the Small Language Grant scheme intended for enhancing English language skills.<\/p>\n

We take special pride in the fact that out of 125 civil servants, initially admitted to the programme, 113 of them completed the eight-month training with flying colours and were awarded certificates for their active participation in the course and improved language skills.<\/p>\n

Drawing from this year\u2019s high interest in this sort of specialised language training, YALS has devised a new project aimed at civil servants, due to be launched in the next academic year as of October 2022.<\/p>\n
