17th In-house YALS Seminar Held at Blackbird School in Čačak

Reported by LJubomir Vasojević

17th in-house YALS seminar was organised for the first time in Čačak, in Blackbird language school, one of the members of the Association. The title of the seminar was Team Development in Language Schools. A great number of school representatives supported the seminar with their attendance and active involvement in it.

With 35 people attending the seminar and two sessions, one being held by Josip Bošnjaković on the topic of Team Development, and the other held by Ljubomir Vasojević on the topic of Regional Initiatives and Teaching Quality, the seminar was marked as very successful and useful.

In the first session held by Josip Bošnjaković, the representative of NLP practice, the speaker dealt with improving the strategies of the leader’s roles in a team, and gave examples of good practice not only to the owners of private schools to strengthen the competences of their employees, but also for the teachers and their students.

The main objective of the second seminar held by Ljubomir Vasojević, the director of Blackbird language school, was to exchange experiences he gained at Adries, the international conference held in Split, Croatia, and also to present the project that his school has undergone through Erasmus Plus programme and the overall positive effect of Erasmus programmes.

After the sessions, the school organised the bonding part of the seminar, which included cruising on the river Morava and the participants used this time to make new friends and exchange experiences.
