reported by Danijela Karafilipović

The 15th YALS in-house seminar was held on 2nd September, 2017. The event was called “Optimization of websites and digital marketing”, with the particular focus on optimization of language school websites for the internet search engines and use of social networks to promote foreign language learning. Centar Britannica Niš, the host of the seminar, celebrated their 10th anniversary on this day.

Emilija Ušćumlić-Ković, teacher and co-owner of the school held two workshops, and 26 colleagues from 14 member schools took part in this event.

The topic of the first workshop was what needs to be done to get the website on the first page of a search engine, while the second workshop dealt with modern social networks, particularly Facebook, and how to use them for business purposes.

The seminar was primarily aimed at school managers and secretaries, as they are most involved in marketing activities:

“I’d like to thank you for an exceptional workshop/seminar and hospitality. Thanks to Emilija’s skill, I got the clear and understandable idea of something that was pretty ambiguous”  Livingston

“I congratulate you on the successful seminar!  I wish you lots of success in further work, keep this enthusiasm and stay professional as always!” Oxford School Krusevac

“We would like to congratulate you on your well organized and useful seminar. Thank you for quality time spent with you and all our YALS friends”, Penguin English
