Founded: in 1995

Courses: all levels and ages

Our school was founded in 1995. By 1999 together with a group of enthusiastic colleagues also running professional, responsible and reliable private schools we decided to set up an association of language schools called YALS to guarantee these principles.

As a teacher and as an Educational Advisor with a long experience in teaching English I wanted to start a school of high standards where learning could be fun, relaxed and entertaining; a place where language learning met personal needs and aspirations rather than a place of imposed obligation and compulsory activity. I wanted to have a team of teachers who could communicate easily and encourage others to do the same.

our students

Our premises of five attractive classrooms and corridor are ideal for small groups of four to eight students to feel at home, continually using language in a realistic way with one another. So we started our mission and never regretted it. Naturally we’ve passed through different periods of adjustment and changes aware that teaching meant complete dedication and constant improvement.

We try to form groups of students according to their level of knowledge and their age, from five years up to the age of all those who think it’s never too late to learn.

Most of our students want to improve their foreign language, for the social purposes of talking, reading, writing. Some of them want to be prepared for Cambridge exams: PET, First Certificate, Advanced, Proficiency, and for the exams of IELTS and TOEFL, and we organise these courses as well.

Recently we’ve introduced Italian, German, French and Spanish and we are prepared to teach other languages if requested.

We are pleased with the relationship we have with our students. The parents of the younger pupils are kept informed about their progress, attendance, projects, homework, and, of course, problems if any.

Our courses start about September 15 and this first term lasts for 15 weeks. The second term starts about February 15 also for 15 weeks. Consequently the course of 30 weeks is based on 60, 90 or 120 lessons a year so that students have two, three or four lessons a week.

“Hello!” School uses mainly Cambridge University Press (CUP) books in its teaching and we are the CUP Authorized Distributor for Yugoslavia for all of its publications.

Over the years we have arranged for Summer Schools in America and in England, London, Oxford and Bournemouth, with King’s Colleges and Regent School. Our joint organization and co-operation in this activity have proved to be most successful.

Our school is easy to find on Bezanijska Kosa in New Belgrade. It is located on the second floor above the only post office in that area and easily accessible from Bus Routes 65, 75, 76, and 82. You can contact us by phone/fax 318 6628, 214 5299, or e-mail hellocup@eunet.rs, or arrange a meeting with the director or any other member of the staff.

We look forward to seeing you.
